How Did I Meet Corinne Bailey Rae ?

初次聽到Corinne Bailey Rae (肯尼貝兒) 是在電影中。
忘了是哪部電影，甚至記不得是什麼樣的情節。Corinne Bailey Rae的乾淨嗓音就這樣飄揚在鏡頭裡。

像秋天的太陽高高的灑下，清爽舒朗。

找到電影中讓人驚魂一瞥的插曲"Like A Star"，才知道那是Corinne Bailey Rae的第一張同名專輯。Just like a star across my sky
      Just like an angel off the page

後來我才知道，這首給人天堂般感覺的歌曲分別用在10家電影&影集中作為插曲。

不知道什麼時候聽見她的"Enchantment"，這首有著美麗星空般的前奏，叮叮噹噹響起前奏，讓人想起夏夜一望無垠的星空。

這個留著黑人捲髮的俏皮爵士女歌手，綻著甜美笑容連成完美金三角。在I' like to 的音樂錄影帶中，俏皮跳步前進，旁邊草皮庭院灑了惱人水珠，她微笑抹抹臉上的水珠，經過白髮蒼蒼的英國老太太，用手上鑽表換來恣意舒適的白色帆布鞋。換上晾好的白色背心T-shirt，金麥色恰到好處的陽光金粉似的套穿在Corinne Bailey Rae的身上，臉上漾著微笑。

原來，她從奢華游泳池派對，一路丟掉名牌包，換下名貴炫目小洋裝。走到尋常百姓人家，加入一般的游泳池旁，自在喝著飲料，表情開心自適，唱著：

像是在嘲笑上流社會派對中的虛無縹緲，還不如真實生活的平淡開水有味道。

 

追尋Corinne Bailey Rae的音樂曾中斷了一陣子，但在電腦中Winamp的長長歌曲清單中，Enchanment偶爾會跳出空間之外，我常常停下手邊的動作，看看這首歌的歌手是誰？而答案永遠會有Corinne Bailey Rae。

就像好東西藏在默默的角落，如果命運中有緣份，將來的某一天一樣會再相逢。

今年20101年，偶然聽見I'd  it Again，幾近悲傷低鳴的幾個音響在店家的空間裡。

熟悉的感覺回來了，像在宣告著什麼故事。我開始找起Corinne的歌來聽，只是這次聽的時間更長，聽的歌曲更多，更想了解歌曲背後的故事。

那絕望的歌聲？
原來Corinne Bailey Rae的音樂家丈夫因為嗑藥過量暴斃死亡。Corinne Bailey Rae現在發的這張新專輯"The Sea"已不復2006年健康甜美模樣，在首波主打的I'd Do it Again懷念過往跟Rae吵架的回憶，她用歌聲告訴我們，儘管關係緊繃，仍想要繼續走下去的心情。

於是我成為Corinne Bailey Rae的信徒。

三月仲春失眠的時候，我聽Truble Sleeping，希望在節奏明快的JAZZ SWING後能夠抱著枕頭沉沉睡去。當唱到"Some kind of therapy"時，我會跟著用力小小聲念therapy，希望一邊鍛煉舌頭靈活度，一邊有著巫靈咒語般的治癒魔力。

看到Are You Here這首歌的某場現場演唱片段，著迷爵士鼓的分明節奏，更驚訝的發現，現場演奏毫不吝嗇給樂手鼓手表現機會；在空曠的高音飄轉間，鼓手是這首歌的另一個明星。

而在每天佔據1/3生活的工作裡，在窮極無聊的辦公室午後，耳朵裡塞著Corinne Bailey Rae的音樂，就能阻絕辦公室的笨蛋大放厥詞。從Volum Up到Volum Down再到魚嘴一開一合的Mute，我是爵士樂裡快樂的魚，生活在有Corinne Bailey Rae的水、音樂和空氣裡。

要向大家介紹這部超級好看的電影！戀夏五百(英文片名：500 Days，又名「The Days of Summer) 導演是Marc Webb，據說曾幫Green Day執導音樂錄影帶，是個縱橫各大MTV音樂大獎的才氣導演。導演對電影音樂極度挑剔，每首歌曲無不精心挑選，於是你可以聽到導演的豐富音樂素養、超高音樂品味，套句劇中Summer對Tom說的話：「You got the great taste of music.」(請加上迷濛的眼神)

由於原聲帶中好聽歌曲高達16首，我將文分為AB篇，(就像早期錄音帶的AB面一樣)。同時整理了歌詞以及我所能找到最好的畫面的音樂影片。

鬼魅般的迷幻─Portishead

初聽見這首歌是因為知名的美國影集The L Word，這部劃時代的影集素質時好時壞，配樂也跟買股票一樣，一下芭樂一下經典，跟著The L Word從第一季聽到第六季，好歌爛歌也一併聽了...。而Portishead就是眾多原聲帶中閃閃發亮的一顆明星。

Portishead來自英國城市Bristol，號稱是Brit-pop中的翹楚，1994年發行的第一章專輯「Dummy」被滾石音樂雜誌選為「五百大專輯」的第419名，音樂類型被歸類為Trip-POP，網友音速青春這樣解釋

Trip-POP： 雖可廣義歸類為電氣音樂，卻難以聞之起舞，最宜用藥後冥想之旅時搭配聆聽，史家稱這類曲風為Trip-Hop。

前陣子朋友分享了這首好歌給我，我才知道每次在ICRT聽到的這首甜美的歌是這位28歲紐約創作女生唱的。(女生?!28歲?! Whatever...)我不太會分析歌的意境啦，但是分享歌給我的捲兒一向喜歡甜蜜、調皮、又富有深境的歌。就好像她的人一樣 瞧瞧歌詞中的" I'd buy you Rogaine if you start losing all your hair. "是不是粉貼心又好笑?而" Cuz I love you more than I could ever promise. " 則是甜甜蜜蜜到不行呀~~~~~~

最近有大學同學要結婚摟，覺得這首歌既甜美也像是在訴說對情人的一往情深。(希望她老公可以安制得住她 ㄎㄎㄎ)也把這首歌送給他們新人，祝他們白頭到老、永浴愛河。
